There are five picture galleries you can surf directly. Note: This is just a shortcut; every picture in these galleries can be found featured on a page somewhere in this site. Anyway, here's a rundown of what you'll find in them.

Character Gallery

Here's an example of a pic you might see here: 6-terra-o2.jpg

The 6 is the game the picture's from. This can be a number from 1 to 9, a t for Tactics, an m for Mystic Quest, or an A for the anime.

The - (dash) indicates that the picture subject is a "hero" for that game.

The terra is the name of the character.

The -o is the TYPE of image. (Pictures from the anime do not have a type attached.) The following is a list of all image types:

-a: An art piece. All art is official Square Amano or Nomura art; no fan art.
-b: A battle screenshot. This usually refers to a boss or Summon.
-c: A CG pic. The CGs can range wildly in quality, from the blocky ones of FF7 to the well-defined ones of FF5, 6 and 8, to the slightly squashed ones of 9.
-f: A face screenshot. These are from the game menu.
-g: A collage of character poses; these only exist in FF6 for main or semi-main characters.
-o: An SD (super-deformed) or overhead view screenshot. -o shots are usually facing downwards, and -o2 shots are usually sideways.
-s: An FMV (full-motion video) screenshot.
-x: A character battle screenshot; these are always facing sideways.

The 2 indicates the number of that pic; there can be several of the same type of pic for the same character in certain situations.

The .jpg is the same for all the pics - it's the extension, which is always .jpg or .gif.

Art

Here's an example of a pic you might see here: 6-terra-a2.jpg

The 6 is the game the picture's from. This can be a number from 1 to 11, a t for Tactics, a ta for Tactics Advance, an mq for Mystic Quest, an a for the anime, a u for Unlimited, a cc for Crystal Chronicles, or an x2 for X-2.

The terra is the name of the character.

The -a is the TYPE of image. (Pictures from the anime do not have a type attached.) The following is a list of all image types:

-a: An art piece. All art is official Square Amano or Nomura art; no fan art.
-c: A CG pic. The CGs can range wildly in quality, from the blocky ones of FF7 to the well-defined ones of FF5, 6 and 8, to the slightly squashed ones of 9.

The 2 indicates the number of that pic; there can be several of the same type of pic for the same character in certain situations.

The .jpg is the same for all the pics - it's the extension, which is always .jpg or .gif.

Job Gallery

Here's what a job pic looks like: 3-knight-o.jpg

As you can tell, it's a lot simpler than character pics. The first part is the name of the job, next comes the number of the game it's in, and last is the file extension. For 5, however, since every character has his/her own look, there's an extra letter after the 5:

5b: Bartz; 5c: Krile (Cara); 5f: Faris; 5g: Galuf; 5l: Reina (Lenna).

Some pictures (i.e. Tactics) will have an -a after the number; this indicates an artwork picture. -o means body pic, -f means face pic. -o2 and -f2 are for females.

Summon/Monster Gallery

This is similar to the Job gallery, but most pictures will have a -b or an -a after the number, indicating whether it's a battle or artwork picture. I have a few CGs as well, indicated by -c; some -o pics from 6 (SD screenshots), and some -f pics from 8 (face screenshots from the GF menu).

Item Gallery

Quite simply, the name of the file is the name of the item. All item pictures from FF5 are black-and-white art pics and are courtesy Shinryuu's Lair. Pics with a -t are from Tactics and -mq are from MQ (these are color screen grabs).

There are currently 196 pictures in the Item gallery, totalling 1.19M.

Miscellaneous Gallery

I just whipped together everything else and stuck it in here. Enjoy!
